SPEARMINT SPMTC

Spearmint/Guides

Guides · policies · developer documentation

Everything is written down. Start here.

These pages are the way in: how to point hardware at the network, how a block reward becomes a payout to your address, how to run your own node, and exactly what the mining service will and will not do. The legal drafts and the developer rules are public too, because the design only works if it can be checked.

Pre-launch · pool not open 2027 working assumption

Mine it

Spearmint Mining is pool infrastructure operated by Instant Access. You bring SHA-256 hardware and an address you control; it apportions block rewards and pays them to that address.

    Mine Spearmint

Endpoints, worker setup, difficulty and shares, the 1% pool fee, PPLNS, the daily payout run, and why you must use your own address.

    How mining rewards work

From your hardware to a coinbase transaction to your address, step by step, with a worked example and the one arrow that does not exist: a deposit.

    Transparency

Reward methodology, fee, payout mechanics, block maturity, source availability, network rules, and what is published where and how often.

    Support

What support can help with (connections, workers, payouts by address and block height) and what it cannot (keys, reversals, prices).

Run it

Spearmint the network is Bitcoin Core with changed chain parameters. Nobody owns it, including the company that directs the software. Running a node is how you stop having to trust anyone on this site.

  • Network

    Run a Spearmint Core node

Build from source, configure it with RPC on localhost only, verify the rules yourself, and mine solo against it if you prefer that to a pool.

  • Network

    Network statistics

Block height, hashrate, difficulty, recent blocks, node counts, pool concentration. Every figure checkable against your own node. Live at launch.

    Economic policy

The 210 million cap, 50 SPMTC initial reward, halving ladder, and the 8% pre-launch acquisition, published before genesis so they can be argued with.

  • Network

    Build log

The engineering record, failures included: exact commands, tracebacks, fixes, and the chain identity as it was chosen.

Check it

The service is designed so its functionality, not its disclaimers, keeps it a mining pool. These pages show the design and the reasoning, and they name what is still open for counsel.

  • Compliance

What the service does and does not do

Plain English. The custody statement, the guidance the design is measured against (FinCEN, Pennsylvania, OFAC), and how each product decision enforces the posture.

    Architecture and value flow

Two diagrams — the work path and the reward path — the data model, operational keys, and the interfaces that deliberately do not exist.

  • Developer docs

    Compliance-by-design matrix

Every feature scored against custody, money transmission, exchange, securities, OFAC, consumer protection and privacy, with the ones to omit marked.

    Regulatory change control

The list of features no developer may add without a new legal review, and the process that enforces it.

    Issues requiring attorney review

The open questions, blocking or otherwise, that must be closed before the pool opens. Pennsylvania's Act 7 of 2025 is first.

Read it

Long-form articles with the primary sources linked: mining pools and the law, payout methods, forking Bitcoin Core, difficulty algorithms, solo mining, custody.
